It places utmost importance in having a set of well-defined corporate governance processes to enhance performance and accountability. In order to safeguard the interests of its shareholders, the board has sought to ensure full compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance (the “Code”).
EMS Energy’s financial report includes a Corporate Governance Report that elaborates EMS Energy’s Corporate Governance processes and structures that were in place throughout the financial year with reference to the SGX principles of corporate governance and best practice recommendations.
In developing and evaluating its corporate governance policies and practices, EMS Energy has sought to adopt a balanced approach by observing the spirit, and not just the letter, of the SGX corporate governance principles, factoring in the evolving needs of its stakeholders as well as local and international developments. |
